How it works

  1. 1Upload a photoA straight-on photo at eye level, neutral face, good light. Or take a selfie.
  2. 2We measure in your browser478 landmarks are mapped on your device and small head turns are corrected. The photo is never uploaded.
  3. 3Get your attractiveness resultSee the numbers with the lines drawn on your photo. Same photo, same result, every time.

This free attractiveness test rates your face from 1 to 10 by measuring it. It maps 478 facial landmarks in your browser and scores symmetry, facial thirds, golden ratio, eyes, jawline and proportions, calibrated so a typical photo lands around 6. Your photo is never uploaded, and the same photo always gets the same score.

How attractive am I? What your score means

Your attractiveness score is a 1–10 rating of the geometry of your face in the photo you upload. It is calibrated so a typical, well-taken photo lands around 6, which means the bands mean something:

ScoreBandWhat it says
9.0+StrikingRare proportions across almost every area
8.0–8.9Very attractiveStrong in most areas, no weak spots
7.0–7.9AttractiveClearly above average
6.0–6.9Above averageBalanced, with a few standout features
5.0–5.9AverageWhere most people sit
4.0–4.9DistinctiveOne or two proportions far from the reference ranges

Many rating sites hand out 8s and 9s to almost everyone. A 2024 study had five AI rating websites and a human panel score the same 40 faces: the websites averaged 6.9/10, the humans 5.0 (Goshtasbi et al.). A 6 here is a good result.

What the attractiveness test measures

The test scores eight areas from 0 to 100, then combines them with fixed weights:

  • Symmetry (20%) — how closely 27 left and right landmark pairs mirror each other. Face symmetry test
  • Eyes (17%) — canthal tilt, eye spacing, eye shape. Canthal tilt test
  • Jawline (13%) — jaw width against cheekbones, jaw angle, jaw symmetry. Jawline rating
  • Proportions (12%) — rule of fifths, midface ratio, FWHR. Facial ratios calculator
  • Facial thirds (12%) — vertical balance of the face. Facial thirds test
  • Golden ratio (10%) — face length to width, mouth to nose. Golden ratio calculator
  • Dimorphism (8%) — how masculine or feminine the bone ratios read. Dimorphism test
  • Harmony (8%) — lips, brow-to-eye distance and how the parts fit together.

The result shows all eight on a radar chart and highlights your strongest area. Men and women are scored against different reference ranges for jaw, brows, eyes and dimorphism.

Is this attractiveness test accurate?

It is accurate at what it measures: the same photo always gets the same score, small head turns are corrected, and the lines it measured are drawn on your photo so you can check them. In our tests, changing brightness and contrast moved scores by at most half a point, and a skin-whitening filter did not raise them.

What it cannot do is measure attractiveness itself. People also respond to skin, hair, style, expression, voice and personality, and none of those are in a photo's geometry. Research on faces links attractiveness most consistently to averageness, symmetry and clear skin; this test covers the geometric part of that picture. Read the full formula and its limits on the methodology page.

How to get an accurate face rating

  1. Camera at eye level, arm's length away. Close selfies widen the nose and centre of the face; a high camera shrinks the jaw.
  2. Face the lens straight on with your head level. The photo check flags tilts and turns.
  3. Neutral expression. Smiling moves the mouth, cheek and jaw points.
  4. Soft, even light from the front, hair off your forehead and jaw, glasses off, no beauty filters.
  5. Add two more photos taken the same way. The test averages them, which evens out small differences between shots.

Our guide on why your score changes between photos shows how much each of these matters.

Why use this face rating instead of others

  • Your photo stays on your device. The face model runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded to score you.
  • Same photo, same score. No chatbot guessing, no random element.
  • An honest scale instead of flattering everyone with an 8.
  • You see the working: measurement lines on your photo, numbers behind each area, and the published formula.
  • Free without sign-up, with a one-time full report and no weekly subscription or invite wall. Works on iPhone and Android in the browser.
  • 20+ focused tools on the same photo — PSL, face shape, hunter eyes, pupillary distance and more — without uploading again.

Frequently asked questions

How attractive am I, really?

This test measures the geometry of your face in one photo — symmetry, facial thirds, fifths, golden-ratio proportions, eyes, jawline and dimorphism — and combines them into a 1–10 score. It describes proportions in that photo, not your worth, and it leaves out things people also find attractive, like skin, hair, style, expression and personality.

What is a good attractiveness score?

The scale is not inflated: it is set so a typical, well-taken photo lands around 6. 6–7 reads as above average, 7–8 as attractive, 8–9 as very attractive and 9+ as striking. A 2024 study found five AI rating websites averaged 6.9/10 on faces a human panel rated 5.0/10; we would rather the number mean something.

Will the same photo always get the same score?

Yes. Your score is calculated from fixed measurements with a fixed formula, not guessed by a chatbot, so the same photo always returns the same result. Different photos can differ because angle, distance, expression and lens change where your features appear.

Why did my score change when I smiled or used another photo?

Smiling moves your mouth, cheeks and jaw points; tilting your head changes vertical proportions; and holding the camera close makes the nose and centre of the face look wider. We correct for slight head turn and tilt, and the photo check flags smiles, angles and small faces. For the most reliable result use a straight-on photo at eye level, arm's length away, with a neutral face.

Does skin color, makeup or a beauty filter change the score?

Skin color and skin tone are not inputs — only the positions of 478 facial landmarks are. Makeup that changes contrast and very dark or uneven lighting can shift where landmarks are detected slightly. Filters that reshape your face (slimming, eye enlarging) do change the geometry, so they change the score.

Is 7.5 out of 10 good for looks?

Yes. On this calibrated scale a typical, well-taken photo lands around 6, so 7–8 is clearly attractive. On generous sites that hand most people an 8, the same face might show a higher number — compare the breakdown, not just the total.

Can AI tell if I am attractive?

AI can measure facial geometry consistently — symmetry, proportions, eye and jaw shape — and those measurements line up with how people rate faces on average. It cannot see what makes someone attractive in person, such as expression, voice, style and personality.

Do you upload or store my photo?

No. Scoring and measurement run entirely in your browser: the face model downloads to your device and your photo never leaves it. Only the AI Analysis tools (such as age or color analysis) send a photo to our server, and they say so before you upload.

Is the attractiveness test free?

Yes. Your 1–10 score, radar chart, strongest feature and half of the breakdown are free with no sign-up. The full report — all measurements, AI analysis of each feature and an improvement plan — is a one-time 230 credits. There is no subscription and no invite-your-friends wall.

Can I use it if I am under 18?

No. The attractiveness tools are for adults 18 and over, for entertainment and self-improvement.
