This "am I handsome" test rates male faces from a straight-on photo: symmetry, jawline, canthal tilt, facial thirds and dimorphism, combined into a 1–10 score. You see which feature is strongest and which measurements pull the score down, all calculated in your browser.
What makes a man handsome?
Studies of male attractiveness point to a mix of average, balanced proportions, symmetry, clear skin and masculine features — a defined jaw, a slightly wider face, a stronger brow and lower-set brows — balanced with enough warmth that the face does not look harsh. Grooming, hair and fitness change how all of these read.
This test measures the geometric part from your photo against male reference ranges: jawline, eyes, symmetry, facial thirds, proportions, golden ratio, masculinity (dimorphism) and harmony.
Am I handsome? How the test rates your face
Upload a straight-on photo with a neutral face. The test maps 478 landmarks in your browser, corrects small head turns and scores the eight areas, then combines them into a 1–10 handsome score calibrated so a typical photo lands around 6. You see your strongest feature and which areas pull the score down. The same photo always gets the same score, and the photo is never uploaded.
Looksmaxxing communities use the stricter PSL scale; a 6/10 here is about PSL 4 (MTN), an 8/10 about PSL 5.8, on the HTN–Chadlite border.
How to look more handsome
- Body fat is the biggest lever for the jawline and cheekbones.
- Haircut for your face shape — height on top for round faces, shorter sides for oblong ones. The face shape detector tells you yours.
- Beard shaping can square a soft jaw or shorten a long lower third.
- Brows — tidy the gap between them, but do not over-thin; fuller, lower brows read more masculine.
- Skin and sleep — not measured here, but they change how every rater sees you.
- Photos — eye-level camera, arm's length, chin slightly forward and down to define the jaw.
For the jaw alone, try the jawline rating; for the eyes, the hunter eyes test.

The scale is calibrated so a typical, well-taken photo lands around 6. If you were expecting a higher number because other sites gave you one, compare the breakdown rather than the total — many sites skew high.

Does a beard make you more handsome?
It can. A shaped beard can square a soft jaw, hide asymmetry and shorten a long lower face. Measure without a beard if you want your bone structure, with it if you want how you look day to day.
Do you upload or store my photo?
No. Scoring and measurement run entirely in your browser: the face model downloads to your device and your photo never leaves it. Only the AI Analysis tools (such as age or color analysis) send a photo to our server, and they say so before you upload.
