How it works

  1. 1Upload a photoA straight-on photo at eye level, neutral face, good light. Or take a selfie.
  2. 2We measure in your browser478 landmarks are mapped on your device and small head turns are corrected. The photo is never uploaded.
  3. 3Get your ai age filter (old & young) resultSee the numbers with the lines drawn on your photo. Same photo, same result, every time.

This AI age filter shows your own face at a different age. Upload a selfie, choose 10 or 20 years, and get two realistic images: you younger and you older, with natural changes to skin, hair color and face fullness. It works like an aging filter app, but in your browser with no app to install.

How does the AI age filter work?

The AI age filter makes two images from one selfie: you about 10 or 20 years younger, and you about 10 or 20 years older. You pick the number of years, tap Generate, and see both versions next to your original photo.

The older image adds realistic aging to skin, hair colour and facial features: finer lines, some greying, a little loss of fullness. The younger image goes the other way, with smoother skin, fuller cheeks and your hair as it might have looked. Both keep your pose, background and identity.

What will I look like when I'm older?

The older image is one realistic answer: your own face with the common signs of age added. Typical changes include lines around the eyes and mouth, a softer jawline, thinner or greyer hair and less volume in the cheeks. Twenty years shows more of these than ten.

It is an illustration, not a forecast. How you actually age depends on genetics, sun exposure, smoking, sleep, weight and many other things no photo can show. Treat the image as a plausible version of future you, and as a reminder that sunscreen is the cheapest anti-aging habit there is.

Aging filter vs age progression

An aging filter is the casual, for-fun version of age progression: it shows you older, mostly to satisfy curiosity or share with friends. Professional age progression, as used in forensic work, is a specialist process done by trained artists with family photos and other references, and this tool does not claim to do that.

What this AI aging filter does well is keep you recognisable. Each image is generated with instructions to keep your face shape, features, skin tone and ethnicity, changing only what age changes. Simple app filters often paste on generic wrinkles; here the aging is drawn on your own face.

Can it make me look younger?

Yes. Every run includes a younger image as well as an older one. The younger version has fresher skin, more facial fullness and the hair you may have had then. The AI is told to keep you an adult, so if you are in your early twenties and pick 20 years, it aims for a young adult rather than a child; pick 10 years for a closer, more natural result.

That makes the filter most interesting for people over 30, who can see a believable version of their younger self from a current photo. That helps when old photos are lost or never existed.

The younger image is generated from your current face, so it is a reconstruction, not a recovered photo. Details such as old hairstyles, glasses or braces will not appear unless they are in your photo now.

10 or 20 years: which to pick?

Pick 10 years for a subtle, believable change and 20 years for a dramatic one. Ten years shows the early signs — a few lines, a touch of grey — and is closest to what you might see in the mirror soon. Twenty years shows a clearer jump and makes for a more striking before-and-after.

Each run costs the same and makes one younger and one older image, so you can try both settings. Want to know how old you look now first? The how old do I look tool reads your perceived age from a photo and shows which parts of your face read older or younger.

Why try an old age filter?

Most people use an aging filter for fun: to laugh at a grey-haired version of themselves, to compare with a parent or grandparent, or to share a "young and older" pair with friends. Seeing both directions side by side is often the most entertaining part.

It can also be a gentle nudge. Seeing your skin twenty years on makes sun protection, sleep and not smoking feel less abstract. Just remember that the image is one plausible version, not a diagnosis, and that real aging varies a lot from person to person.

Want to know how your skin looks today? The AI skin analysis reads texture, tone, redness and more from a selfie and gives your skin a score out of 100.

Best photo for an aging filter

Use a recent, front-facing photo in soft daylight, with your whole face and hairline visible. Avoid beauty filters and heavy makeup, which hide the skin detail the model ages from, and take off sunglasses and hats. Only one person should be in the frame.

Neutral or gently smiling expressions work best. A big laugh already creases the skin, which can make the older version look more aged than intended.

Is the age filter free?

No. Each run makes two images (younger and older) for 50 credits, and you need to sign in. There is no app to install; it works in your browser on phone or desktop. Credits are one-time packs with no subscription, and they never expire. If a generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.

Your photo is uploaded only when you tap Generate. The photo and the generated images are deleted within 24 hours, are never used for training and are not kept in your account, so tap Save on the ones you want. Each image carries an "AI-generated" label in its metadata. For adults 18 and over.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see what I will look like when I am older?

Upload a selfie, choose 10 or 20 years and tap Generate. The AI age filter makes one image of you older and one younger, with realistic changes to skin, hair colour and face fullness.

Is the aging filter accurate?

It is a realistic illustration, not a prediction. How you actually age depends on genetics, sun exposure, smoking, sleep and weight, which a photo cannot show.

Can the age filter make me look younger?

Yes. Every run includes a younger image. It always stays an adult, so if you are in your early twenties, the younger version will still look like a young adult.

Should I pick 10 or 20 years?

10 years gives a subtle, believable change; 20 years gives a more dramatic before-and-after. Each run costs the same.

Is the age filter free?

No. Each run makes two images for 50 credits and you need to sign in. Credits are one-time packs with no subscription, they never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically.

Is there an aging app I need to install?

No. It works on this website in any phone or desktop browser. Tap Save to download the images.

Can it tell me how old I look now?

Not this tool. The How Old Do I Look tool reads your perceived age from a photo and shows which parts of your face read older or younger.

Do you keep my photo or the generated images?

No. Your photo is uploaded only when you tap Generate, and both the photo and the generated images are deleted within 24 hours. They are never used for training and are not saved to your account, so tap Save to download the images you want to keep.
